Guitar Hero World Tour Drum Update

Guitar Hero Drum App

There is now a lovely drum tuning app that has been released to help you adjust and fix your Guitar Hero World Tour drumset woes.  Head over to the support page to find out instructions on how to get this remedied.  You need a midi-USB cable (they are sending these out free…YES!), and this will only work on Windows (no Mac……NO!).  But hey, you have to know someone with a Vista/XP machine.  Still, after all the money spent on these giant boxes (hilarious seeing some dad carry it through the mall for their kid), you would think that this would not even be a problem!

Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades Set List

Guitar Hero On Tour Shot

Activision has released the track list for their upcoming Nintendo DS game Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades.  The 28 tracks feature some pretty good songs, including some that are found on the newly released Guitar Hero: World Tour.  There will also be a feature to stream songs from the original Guitar Hero On Tour game.  We are still unsure of how this will work with the new Nintendo DSi (missing Gameboy Advance cartridge compatibility), but I’m sure they will think of something to keep the profits high.

Hit the jump to check out the track list.

Guitar Hero World Tour Drum Issue Update

Drumset

It seems Activision and Red Octane have released a formal statement addressing the problem that some people seem to be having with the drum set for their game Guitar Hero: World Tour.  They state that the drum issue that effects the senstivity of the pads is probably a result of products made in the earlier manufacturing process and is isolated to just the drum controllers.  The statement also included a promise of a drum tuning kit for optimization.  I would rather it just work.  If you have problems you are also encouraged to contact their support staff using the info provided in the statement.

Have you guys had any problems with your drums?  Is that the only problems you have had?

Guitar Hero World Tour Drums Already Having Issues

Guitar Hero World Tour Drums

The reports are already pouring in that the Guitar Hero World Tour drums are already having issues.  I can’t say I’m all that surprised really with the way things are made these days.

One Xbox 360 gamer says: “Just picked up the full band version for 360, at first there was a problem with the pads registering, and the red pad just completely died a minute ago… Out of the box less than 3 hours…”

Surprise! Retailers Sick and Tired of Plastic Accessories

Fake Instruments Small

Surprise!  I knew it would come as a shock to you to hear that retail outlets are getting sick and tired of keeping the ever increasing list of plastic musical instruments in stock and on store shelves.  With two 3 piece band boxes, microphones, extra guitars/drums, new bass controllers (which as a bassist, I find awesome!), and various Wii accessories, I can understand their plight because it is the same problem in my living room as well!  The retailers are even telling newer entries they do not want anything new to clutter their space.

Since the games in their packages basically print money, I am sure that the retail companies are not going to do anything drastic yet, but I can see their problem.  What do you think?
