Gears of War 2 Being Pirated Before Official Release

With Gears of War 2 still a few weeks away from the official launch date, November 7, 2008, the software pirates have come out in full force.  It is being reported that the full Gears of War 2 game has been duped and uploaded to various warez sites.  With a whopping size of 6.76Gb, these pesky game pirates have split the file into 73 seperate RAR files.

Now in case you are getting a bit too eager and wanting a copy of this for yourself, keep in mind that copied games only work on modified Xbox 360 systems.

“Duh!” Moments in Gaming

In another “Duh!” moment it has been reported by many people that Gears of War 2 preorders have preceded the original Gears of War preorders.

Did anyone actually NOT see this coming?  The sequel to one of the biggest Xbox 360 games would of course get more preorders than the original.  Especially since Epic is one of the few companies that actually do pretty well at backing up the hype that currently surrounds this game.  I will be even more surprised if the game does not do well.  Do you think you will be unable to grab the game if you do not preorder?
