Xbox 360 Chatpad Messenger Kit - $30
• 2 comments • Filed UnderThe long awaited Chatpad (announced back in May) has been priced and now has its own page up on Xbox.com. The Chatpad will be part of the Xbox 360 Messenger Kit which will also include a separate headset and retail for $29.99. No other new Chatpad news or surprises that we haven’t already known are detailed as we’d still like to have a look at the separate headset. If you think it’s worth the $30 and you need it, get it. I may put the money towards a new game.
Sonic and Golden Axe now on XBLA

You have to feel for the guy or gal who has to write the blade descriptions for Xbox Live Arcade games. Take this week’s release of Sonic the Hedgehog and Golden Axe (both 400 points/$5) for example. What does one say about Sonic at this point? Our description would be something like “It’s Sonic the Hedgehog. Buy it … or don’t.” Then we’d just fill out the empty space with a picture of those cats playing Pokemon or something.
Now, with Golden Axe, we’d probably write “It’s not as good as you remember,” which is why we don’t work for Microsoft.
Microsoft Faces Lawsuit - Scratched Xbox 360 Discs
• 0 comments • Filed UnderA man from Florida has filed a federal lawsuit against Microsoft that accuses the company of defective design with the Xbox 360. The lawsuit of Jorge Brouwer focuses on issues with scratched disks (rather than the infamous red ring of death that has plagued many consoles). The suit comes less than a week after Microsoft extended the Xbox 360 warranty to three years.
Missile Command Coming to XBLA This Wednesday

I must admit that I bought my Xbox 360 a while back for the kick ass graphics and games that were coming out, but lately find myself playing more of the Arcade games that have become available to XBLA. At least until I spend my $20 yearly budget on Microsoft Points.
Anyway, this Wednesday you can all look forward to seeing the classic game Missle Command released on the Marketplace. Missile Command will come in two flavors: retro and evolved. The retro version will feature the old style graphics while the evolved version will look like the picture above. The good thing is the game is relatively cheap, being only 400 Microsoft Points ($5).

The high-definition movies will be available to U.S. subscribers of Microsoft’s Xbox Live, said Peter Moore, a corporate vice president in Microsoft’s entertainment and devices division, which is responsible for the Xbox business.

Xbox 360 Aiming For Your Family
• 0 comments • Filed UnderThe time has come for Microsoft who now wants to bring more family oriented games to Xbox 360, reports Bloomberg.
With all the success that Nintendo has had with Wii getting more women, family, and children gamers to play their games, Microsoft is now looking to expand its demographic.
Look for Microsoft to possibly lower Xbox 360 prices in the future, getting it down to the market sweet spot of $199. They will also look at rearranging store displays to not cater to just the hardcore gamer, but also to the younger generation as well.
Hey why not? If it is working for Nintendo you know Microsoft is going to jump onboard ASAP like they have done with other things … iPod.
Pac-Man Championship Edition for Xbox 360

The Pac-Man Championship Edition, exclusively for the Xbox 360, is set to be released tomorrow. Ostensibly announced today at the Pac-Man championships in New York City, this variation of the pellet-munching classic promises to make “video game history.” How’s it plan on doing that you ask?
Available tomorrow, June 6, 2007, for the asking price of 800 Microsoft Points ($10), Pac-Man: CE will be the same classic 2D Pac-Man gameplay with shiny new HD graphics, will contain “first new Pac-Man mazes in more than 26 years,” and sport new widescreen mazes with wide walls in the Championship mode.
