Microsoft’s GamerscoreBlog has posted the Xbox Live Arcade games they expect to release in the next several weeks. Almost all the games most everyone is quite aware of, especially the very addictive Puzzle Quest… and we all know the AI is a cheating fool! Anyhow, not sure on the order of release.
The expected games are:

- Hexic 2
- War World
- Geon: Emotions
- Puzzle Quest
- Space Giraffe

Grand Theft Auto IV Delayed!

Take Two just announced Grand Theft Auto IV will be delayed from its originally scheduled October release date until the second fiscal quarter of 2008, sometime between February and April of 2008. Though they cited no direct cause for the delay, Take-Two Chairman Strauss Zelnick said “certain elements of development proved to be more time-intensive than expected.” In addition, due to the outstanding ratings problems, they’ve also announced that Manhunt 2 would miss its planned release this fiscal year.
Virtua Fighter 5 Shipping October 30th for 360

Virtua Fighter players have been waiting quite a while for online play — well the wait is over! Sega confirms that the 360 edition will feature leaderboards, downloadable content, and the ability to download matches from top contenders to study their moves.

Many of you 360 junkies out there might be experiencing some strange happenings on Xbox Live. Quite a few people have complained saying they are getting the error message “Can’t retrieve information from Xbox Live. Please try again later. Status code: 807b01f7″ when trying to download any content.
Don’t worry it seems this is just affecting the Marketplace and not any of your friends lists or multiplayer. First the ring of death and now problems with Xbox Live? Oh no!
Get Your Dose of Overlord

If you’re a PS3 owner looking to play Overlord and just can’t wait for Triump Studios to do the porting, you can head on over to GameTap if you’ve got a gaming PC. A recent deal between Codemasters and GameTap means that anybody with a decent PC and internet connection will be able to play Overlord with a subscription for far less then the next-gen $59.99 price. Considering Triump hasn’t started the porting yet, who knows when it’ll be done. Go with what you got.
XBLA: Super Contra Coming This Wednesday

This Wednesday Xbox Live Marketplace will see the release of Konami’s Super Contra: “The Alien’s Counterattack,” the sequel to the all time classic Contra.
Super Contra will be available for 400 Microsof Points and includes:
- Two gameplay modes: Single player or two player co-op, either locally on the same Xbox 360 or over Xbox LIVE
- Players can choose to play with either the original graphics or the enhanced graphics
- Compete for the weekly and all time high scores on the Leaderboards
- Earn up to 12 Achievements and 200 Gamerscore
Microsoft Xbox 360 Sales Plunge 60%

Microsoft shipped only 700,000 Xbox 360 units in its latest fiscal quarter, but that’s ccompared to 1.8 million in the same quarter in 2006. Microsoft’s growing troubles with the Xbox 360 video game console appear to be catching up to the company. Sales of the gaming machine plunged 60% in the fiscal fourth quarter, Microsoft disclosed Thursday. In its earnings statement for the quarter, Microsoft said it shipped 700,000 Xbox 360 units during the period, compared to 1.8 million in the fiscal fourth quarter of 2006, a fall off of 61%.
Release Dates for Call of Duty 4?

It has been rumored that Activision has quietly “announced” release dates for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. From what we’ve seen the U.S. and Canada gets its taste on October 30, while Europe has to wait ten more days for November 9. As the title suggests, Call of Duty 4 drops the World War II-theme eliminates the campaign system. Standby for for more info.
Epic Games Being Sued for “Faulty” Unreal Engine 3

Looks like there’s trouble on the horizon for Epic Games as they are being sued by Silicon Knights.
The lawsuit that the widely used Unreal Engine 3 “did not work as Epic represented it would and, moreover, Epic has been unable or unwilling to fix it.”
Silicon Knights goes on to say that Epic “never intended to deliver Unreal Engine 3 as a fully functional game engine as promised,” and that Epic merely licensed the engine to collect fees from developers in order to fund its own development of Gears of War on 360.
