Gears of War 2 Multiplayer Screenshots
• 0 comments • Filed UnderWith the holidays coming up I’m pretty sure that Gears of War 2 is going to be on everyone’s wish list. I know for a fact it will be on ours! I’m just hoping that this round of bloodshed lasts a bit longer than the original. As always Epic Games doesn’t disappoint in the graphic department that’s for sure.
Here’s a handful of screenshots from Gears of War 2 multiplayer and as you can see the carnage is as beautiful as ever!

Microsoft, the Arcade SKU Sucks
• 0 comments • Filed UnderI have to agree with the IGN top 10 list of reasons the Xbox 360 Arcade SKU sucks. I mean, I could only imagine the face of some excited kid on Christmas only to open up his present to one of these. It’s like buying a car, and then realizing it did not come with a way to see out the windshield, the seats were faux leather, and you got none of the accessories that you could have gotten if you paid 60 more dollars.
Anyway, hit up the link to check out their 10 reasons and tell us if you agree that the Arcade SKU is that bad. If you own one, tell us your experience with it too.

Fuel for the Metal Gear Solid 4 Fire
• 0 comments • Filed UnderAs if the rumors surrounding Metal Gear Solid 4 and the Xbox 360 were not getting old, new information has been added to the rumor mill. It has been reported that the Software and Services Vice President John Schappert has stated that the Xbox 360 DOES have “the power to run MGS4.”
He goes further to say that he does not speak for Konami but that there is no doubt that this could be possible. Now if he could explain how he expects all that data to be put on a DVD…or ten! I will not have worked out that much since Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX, etc. on the PS1!
“Duh!” Moments in Gaming
• 0 comments • Filed Under
In another “Duh!” moment it has been reported by many people that Gears of War 2 preorders have preceded the original Gears of War preorders.
Did anyone actually NOT see this coming? The sequel to one of the biggest Xbox 360 games would of course get more preorders than the original. Especially since Epic is one of the few companies that actually do pretty well at backing up the hype that currently surrounds this game. I will be even more surprised if the game does not do well. Do you think you will be unable to grab the game if you do not preorder?
Call of Duty: World at War Multiplayer Beta Impressions
• 0 comments • Filed UnderThe invite came in yesterday with a token to play the new beta of Call of Duty: World at War on Xbox Live. As a big fan of Call of Duty 4, I jumped at the chance to try out the new one before shelling (no pun intended?) out $60 that is harder and harder to come by this holiday season of gaming. So how did my night of gaming go?
Look For a GRAW2 Expansion Coming to XBL Soon
• 0 comments • Filed Under
Good news for all you GRAW2 fans out there, a new expansion will be available on XBL soon…real soon as in November. CVG reports that new maps for both single and multiplayer gametypes will be available.
The pack includes five brand new campaign missions continuing the story from GRAW 2 and nine adversarial maps for online play. Seven of those nine are remakes from Ghost Recons past (Caves, Railroad Bridge, Battlefield, Plantation, Swamp Airfield, Prison and Castle), leaving two that are totally new (Business Park and Rooftop).
And if this study’s anything to go by, sales and review scores will no-doubt see a boost from the extra Achievements, offering an addition 125 gamerpoints for your efforts.
Halo 3 and Bioshock Not “Next-Gen” Games - Some Say
• 0 comments • Filed Under
Whether Halo 3 or Bioshock were strictly made for the Xbox 360 or not, we don’t know, but there’s some people out there saying they weren’t.
David Braben of Frontier Developments says, they’re better looking, but still the same.
“I loved the 1930s-1950s atmosphere of BioShock: the lovely Art Deco visuals and the audio that worked especially well. “Overall the whole game was beautifully executed, but the gameplay itself was not ‘next-gen’.”
“I found Halo 3 great fun, too, but also a little disappointing - as although there were a few nice touches and improved graphical fidelity, it hadn’t really moved on much from Halo 2in terms of the gameplay.”
World in Conflict To Occur September 18th
• 0 comments • Filed UnderSierra’s World in Conflict is ready to go and is expected to hit shelves on September 18th. The game will retail at $49.99 for the normal box and $59.99 for the collector’s edition. The time I spent with the game fine, but I’m not just a huge WiC fan. But hey, I’m not gonna lie, it’s cool!
Halo 3 - The Fastest Selling Pre-Ordered Game Ever
• 25 comments • Filed Under
Please tell me you aren’t surprised to hear this news, because I’m sure you’re not. Halo 3 has already become the fastest selling pre-ordered game in video game history. Pre-orders in North America for Halo 3 have exceeded the 1 million milestone, according to Microsoft today. And just think it still has a couple more months before the actual release date — damn I need to hurry and get myself a copy!
MS Halo 3 Zune US Military Edition
• 4 comments • Filed Under
Microsoft has developed a Halo 3 Military Edition Zune for members of the US armed forces. The Zune will be available exclusively at military retail stores in August and comes with pre-loaded stuff that is probably similar to the civilian Halo 3 Zune. It was reported that a group of soldiers who left for active duty today from Baltimore Washington International airport received the first wave. Microsoft is offering the military edition of the Zune to military personnel and their families at discounted rates.
