Good news for all you GRAW2 fans out there, a new expansion will be available on XBL soon…real soon as in November. CVG reports that new maps for both single and multiplayer gametypes will be available.
The pack includes five brand new campaign missions continuing the story from GRAW 2 and nine adversarial maps for online play. Seven of those nine are remakes from Ghost Recons past (Caves, Railroad Bridge, Battlefield, Plantation, Swamp Airfield, Prison and Castle), leaving two that are totally new (Business Park and Rooftop).
And if this study’s anything to go by, sales and review scores will no-doubt see a boost from the extra Achievements, offering an addition 125 gamerpoints for your efforts.

Whether Halo 3 or Bioshock were strictly made for the Xbox 360 or not, we don’t know, but there’s some people out there saying they weren’t.
David Braben of Frontier Developments says, they’re better looking, but still the same.
“I loved the 1930s-1950s atmosphere of BioShock: the lovely Art Deco visuals and the audio that worked especially well. “Overall the whole game was beautifully executed, but the gameplay itself was not ‘next-gen’.”
“I found Halo 3 great fun, too, but also a little disappointing - as although there were a few nice touches and improved graphical fidelity, it hadn’t really moved on much from Halo 2in terms of the gameplay.”

And just think it still has a couple more months before the actual release date — damn I need to hurry and get myself a copy!

The Zune will be available exclusively at military retail stores in August and comes with pre-loaded stuff that is probably similar to the civilian Halo 3 Zune. It was reported that a group of soldiers who left for active duty today from Baltimore Washington International airport received the first wave. Microsoft is offering the military edition of the Zune to military personnel and their families at discounted rates. (more…)

Take Two just announced Grand Theft Auto IV will be delayed from its originally scheduled October release date until the second fiscal quarter of 2008, sometime between February and April of 2008. Though they cited no direct cause for the delay, Take-Two Chairman Strauss Zelnick said “certain elements of development proved to be more time-intensive than expected.” In addition, due to the outstanding ratings problems, they’ve also announced that Manhunt 2 would miss its planned release this fiscal year. Many of you 360 junkies out there might be experiencing some strange happenings on Xbox Live. Quite a few people have complained saying they are getting the error message “Can’t retrieve information from Xbox Live. Please try again later. Status code: 807b01f7″ when trying to download any content.
Don’t worry it seems this is just affecting the Marketplace and not any of your friends lists or multiplayer. First the ring of death and now problems with Xbox Live? Oh no!
