Sony has quietly mentioned that they are looking to release a digital TV tuner for the PS3 to give it DVR functionality, which is great, but the stock hard drive is way too small for video recording. Luckily swapping hard drives is a pretty straight forward procedure.
If you’re familiar with PC hardware you’ll likely be able to figure it out yourself. If you aren’t comfortable prying open such as expensive piece of equipment, Gamepro has put together a guide to upgrading the PS3 hard drive, with plenty of pictures detailing the process. The instructions for upgrading your PS3 hardrive are straight forward, so give it a shot.

Take Two just announced Grand Theft Auto IV will be delayed from its originally scheduled October release date until the second fiscal quarter of 2008, sometime between February and April of 2008. Though they cited no direct cause for the delay, Take-Two Chairman Strauss Zelnick said “certain elements of development proved to be more time-intensive than expected.” In addition, due to the outstanding ratings problems, they’ve also announced that Manhunt 2 would miss its planned release this fiscal year. If you’re a PS3 owner looking to play Overlord and just can’t wait for Triump Studios to do the porting, you can head on over to GameTap if you’ve got a gaming PC. A recent deal between Codemasters and GameTap means that anybody with a decent PC and internet connection will be able to play Overlord with a subscription for far less then the next-gen $59.99 price. Considering Triump hasn’t started the porting yet, who knows when it’ll be done. Go with what you got.

We’ve all waited long enough to get our hands on this sweet looking game and later this week we all get a chance. Ninja Theory’s long-awaited Heavenly Sword demo is set to arrive for download via PlayStation Network on Thursday, July 26.

It has been rumored that Activision has quietly “announced” release dates for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. From what we’ve seen the U.S. and Canada gets its taste on October 30, while Europe has to wait ten more days for November 9. As the title suggests, Call of Duty 4 drops the World War II-theme eliminates the campaign system. Standby for for more info.
As of this morning, Aussie PlayStation 3 owners will find free music video clips available for download from the PlayStation Store. The music videos are available in standard definition, high definition 720p, and high definition 1080p.
The videos are free to all registered PlayStation Network users down under. Currently, there are 10 songs available on the PlayStation Store:

God of War with a chick? Well not exactly, even though many are thinking that’s what Heavenly Sword is going to be. Being compared to one of the best (in my opinion) action games on PS2 surely can’t be a bad thing. But don’t expect it to play the same.
Heavenly Sword isn’t going to be one of those games where all you do is sit there hammering down on the buttons throughout the game. Be prepared to sit back and observe your enemies movement and combat styles in order to do well at this game.

It’s all coming so fast. No sooner does Sony fess up to August price cuts than we start hearing tell of a response from the 360 camp, and now it sounds like Sony has even more goodies for the PS3 faithful.
