Left 4 Dead Screens
• 1 comment • Filed UnderThe more I see Left 4 Dead, the more I think it’s gonna be pretty badass. Nothing like teaming up with 3 other friends to survive a zombie apocalypse by killing everything in sight! And when Valve is making it, you know it’s gonna be pretty damned good. Check out these screens in all their glory before you play it on November 11th!

Tabula Rasa: the FPS
• 0 comments • Filed UnderThere is a new update to the MMO Tabula Rasa from NCSoft in the works. This one will now include a first person camera view. There will also be scope views for certain weapons, cockpit views, and a more zoomed out third person view for support people.
Now I know everybody’s been playing this game to death already, but this looks to bring the game to a more shooter-influenced gameplay that has been discussed in the past. I may actually have to look into playing it, though I am never overly-excited about paying a monthly fee unless it is absolutely worth it!
Check the link for more information and some good screenshots!

Two Star Wars MMOs in Harmony
• 0 comments • Filed UnderLucasArts has stated that the Star Wars: Galaxies and the new Star Wars: The Old Republic can co-exist in a harmonious fashion. They apparently have a few interesting features to support in SW:G. I bet one of them is actually making the general public (with Sony’s helming the idea) aware this game still exists and that it does not suck (even though some people say the contrary). 1up provides an article here on the subject.
Do you think the two games can exist together or will everybody jump ship to the newer, presumably better game?

DRM Free Games at Good Old Games
• 0 comments • Filed UnderA new service has popped up in open beta called Good Old Games. It is a digital distributor of older games that are DRM free and usually cost between $5.99 and $9.99. The service includes games such as the Fallout games, the Freespaces, and the Descents (I know, good games!) and will add more than the current projection of like 50 games and 2 companies very soon.
There are games, wallpapers, artwork, soundtracks, and more for you to get over there and get playing!

Fallout 3 Screenshots
• 0 comments • Filed UnderFallout 3 is one of the most anticipated games here at Game Gods for this holiday season. I have been a fan since the first one. Since the release is less than a week away, I think it is only appropriate to show some screenshots of the game. I am excited to be able to play and see what other people have to say about this game! Enjoy!

WoW, Zombies!
• 0 comments • Filed UnderA world event is currently happening in World of Warcraft. Apparently some of the Argent Dawn have arrived prior to the new expansion as well as lootable crates. Upon said looting, a player becomes infected and within 10 minutes becomes a zombie that is able to attack everybody, effectively turning them into zombies as well. A whole epidemic then will occur as everybody at some point will become a zombie I can imagine. You cannot use your abilities, but the zombie has his own (maybe Left 4 Dead vomiting?).
Though it is not particularly hard to cure yourself from what I gathered, it is a very cool way to tease the expansion and celebrate Halloween a bit early. I mean seriously, who has never wanted to be a zombie, and with millions of people to potentially infect, you can have a field week! This is something that is probably better seen than read about, so go login already and spread the infection!

Star Wars: The Old Republic
• 0 comments • Filed UnderLucasArts and BioWare have announced a new MMORPG based around the KOTOR universe. Dubbed Star Wars: The Old Republic, the game is said to be very ’story-based,’ something that they said not very many MMORPGs can atest. They are also considering putting it onto the consoles.
Right now the only things that are really known are theat you will have a companion character (Fable’s dog?), will have the same light and dark ideas, and will contain different cutscenes/stories depending on what your character is and how they act in the world. Oh, and they said they are not doing the “kill 18 swamprats and bring their hides back” quests! My dreams are answered!
This looks to be a promising venture if it pans out like they say, and we will keep you up to date with information!

More Penny Arcade Adventures Next Week
• 0 comments • Filed Under
It seems that just as the PS3 is getting the first episode, the bomb drops letting us know that the Linux, Mac, PC, and XBLA platforms are getting the second episode next week for $14.95 or 1200 MS points! This new adventure is said to add 6-10 hours of game play. If you were a fan of the first like us (and who would not be), then there should be no hesitation to support Penny Arcade and have a good time playing their game. It is even cheaper this time as well!
Hit the link to Kotaku to check out their take, and they have even provided a nice achievement list.

Blizzard’s a Big Tease
• 0 comments • Filed UnderBlizzard’s big wigs were dropping some information about the new Blizzard MMO that’s being developed. In articles on IGN and Gamespot, Blizzard CEO and co-founder Mike Morhaime has stated that a new MMO will not be related to World of Warcraft. It will be completely different and will not compete with WoW. Of course they would not do anything to upset their money maker that is WoW.
Also interesting to note is that Diablo III is expected to come out after Starcraft II. Which part of the trilogy (or after the entire trilogy) that means, but you will get a chance to play it before holing yourself up for endless hours going after Diablo again.
I am very interested to see more details on all three of the games, but since they are from Blizzard, they will pratically print their own money when released.

Eve Online Gets Quantum Rise
• 0 comments • Filed UnderIt seems that the new Quantum Rise major content update for Eve Online has been announced. MMORPG.com has posted a news article on their site that the ninth free update to the popular science-fiction online game includes reduced lag, balancing, and some new content for industrial ships and corporations just for starters.
Eve Online was a pretty interesting concept. I could never get into the idea of being all alone out in space glued into my ship. It just never held my interest for very long. I may go back and check out this new content soon and see if my time-based upgrades for my stats have finally finished!
