38 Most Memorable First Enemies

GamePro has posted an interesting list of the ranking of the first enemies encountered in video games. I think that it is a pretty good list of baddies. The only thing I do not understand is the use of the number 38. Could not decide which ones to cut? Thirty-eight seems entirely random.
