A Beatles Rock Band Game

0 commentsFiled Under

Beatles Abbey Road Small

MTV, Harmonix, and Apple Corps has announced a new music game based on The Beatles.  It is now been told that the game will not take the Rock Band moniker as originally thought, though it will play like a Harmonix game.  While details have yet to be fully released, the premise behind the game is a journey through the music and styles of the Beatles from their first to their last albums.  The music is even being produced by Giles Martin, producer of last year’s Love album. This game will be a completely stand-alone game custom built from the ground up.

I don’t know about you, but The Beatles are one of my favorite bands.  I think this will be a very worthy adventure (not to mean profitable) for Harmonix.  Looks like I’m going to have to save up some MORE money for games.  Maybe it’ll include some vintage Beatles guitars (yay, more plastic instruments!)!

What do you guys think about a Beatles music game?

13 Scariest Games of This Generation

Dead Space Small

The guys over at IGN PC have created a list of the 13 scariest games of this generation.  I agree with most of their list as being pretty scary though I never did think of Gears of War as anything resembling scary.  Now Beautiful Katamari, that was a freakin’ scary game!

What do you think of IGN’s list?

Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades Set List

Guitar Hero On Tour Shot

Activision has released the track list for their upcoming Nintendo DS game Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades.  The 28 tracks feature some pretty good songs, including some that are found on the newly released Guitar Hero: World Tour.  There will also be a feature to stream songs from the original Guitar Hero On Tour game.  We are still unsure of how this will work with the new Nintendo DSi (missing Gameboy Advance cartridge compatibility), but I’m sure they will think of something to keep the profits high.

Hit the jump to check out the track list.

More Awesome Halloween Costumes

Vincent Valentine Costume

With Halloween around the corner I found it appropriate to post another article with more awesome Halloween costumes.  All I can say is that some of these people are very creative and/or have a lot of time on their hands.  It makes my mummy costume (me wrapped in toilet paper) from elementary school look like utter crap!

Check out the link and let us know what you think!

Little Big Planet Unplugged

LBP Small

What started out as very promising after the recall/delay has now become sad again.  It has been confirmed by Media Molecule that the Little Big Planet servers have been taken offline to be repaired.  It appears to be a case of millions finally trying to get on coupled with what Media Molecule says is “to avoid ‘glitching issues’ some people were seeing that was affecting offline play.”  They say that they will be back on as soon as they can get the bugs sorted out.  But for those eight hours they were on I bet people were having fun (attempting to log on)!

We will keep you updated as to when they return.
